They ensure that every service runs smoothly, with eight hours of preparation going into each session.
A highlight of the Connaught Bar is their famous Dry Martini. This cocktail is crafted with their own licor, stirred in a custom mixing glass, and personalized with a selection of homemade bitters by Perrone. If you’re in the mood for something more contemporary, their Synergia menu offers unique drinks inspired by human connections. A standout choice is the Icebreaker, which combines rum, pisco, sherry, peanut butter, fermented banana, verjus, and bitters.
Tayēr + Elementary
Tayēr + Elementary, created by bartending stars Monica Berg and Alex Kratena, is more than just a bar; it's a philosophy. Everything about it is forward-thinking, from the seasonal, ingredient-focused cocktails to the modern, sustainable techniques and custom bar stations.
When you walk in, you first enter Elementary. This industrial-style space has a long communal table where you can enjoy their own-label wine, beer, and quickly served seasonal classics. The menu changes with the seasons, but a favorite is the One Sip Martini, a mini version of the classic drink.
Next, in Tayēr, the vibe shifts to a test-kitchen atmosphere. Here, they use lab-grade equipment to explore new flavors with lesser-known ingredients. It's all about pushing the boundaries of what a bar can be.
