Erbil s a city that blends ancient history with modern development. During my stay, I had the pleasure of exploring some of its vibrant nightlife. Here are my personal observations and experiences at three standout bars
The Two Princes English Pub
I visited The Two Princes English Pub, which feels like a traditional British pub. The warm and cozy atmosphere made me feel at home right away. The pub has dark wood furniture, vintage posters, and a fireplace, adding to its charm.
They offer a wide selection of beers, both local and international. I had a pint of their house ale, which was rich and tasty. The menu includes classic pub food like fish and chips and shepherd's pie. It’s a great place to relax with friends or watch a game on the big screen.
Oak Bar
Oak Bar is a stylish and modern bar in Erbil. The sleek design, plush seating, and impressive oak bar counter create a sophisticated atmosphere.
The cocktail menu is creative and extensive. I tried the "Oak Sour," a delicious mix of whiskey, lemon juice, and a hint of oak flavor. The bartenders are skilled and watching them make drinks was enjoyable. Oak Bar also has a selection of fine wines and spirits, making it perfect for those who appreciate high-quality drinks in an upscale setting.
Piccadilly
Piccadilly is a popular spot in Erbil, known for its lively and energetic vibe. The bar and restaurant feature live music, DJ performances, and themed nights. The modern and colorful decor adds to the fun atmosphere.
The menu offers a variety of international dishes, from Italian pasta to American burgers. I enjoyed a fresh and flavorful grilled chicken salad. The bar serves impressive cocktails, beers, and spirits. I tried the "Piccadilly Punch," a fruity cocktail with a refreshing kick, ideal for a fun night out. The great music, tasty food, and buzzing atmosphere made Piccadilly a highlight of my visit.
