When I visit Cairo, I always make sure to dine at some of the best restaurants the city has to offer. Here are three of my favorites: Sachi Cairo, Khufu’s, and Zooba in Zamalek.
Sachi Cairo
Sachi Cairo is a place I love to visit when I crave Mediterranean cuisine. The atmosphere is cozy, perfect for an intimate dinner. The service is excellent, and they always make me feel welcome. My favorite dish here is the truffle mushroom risotto. The flavors are rich and comforting. I also enjoy their whole roast chateaubriand, which they carve tableside. It’s a delight to watch and even better to eat. Whether I’m with friends or family, Sachi Cairo always provides a memorable dining experience.

Khufu’s
Khufu’s offers a dining experience like no other. Situated within the Pyramids of Giza Plateau, it provides a stunning view of the Great Pyramids. The setting alone is worth the visit, but the food is equally impressive. Khufu’s takes traditional Egyptian cuisine and gives it an upscale twist. I love to savor the refined flavors while taking in the breathtaking surroundings. It’s a unique place where the history and culture of Egypt come together with delicious food. Every visit to Khufu’s feels special, making it a must-visit spot in Cairo.

Zooba (Zamalek)
Zooba in Zamalek is my go-to for a modern twist on Egyptian street food. This place has gained international fame for a good reason. The menu offers traditional dishes with a contemporary spin, making each meal exciting and fresh. I love their take on classic Egyptian dishes like koshari and ta’ameya (falafel). The vibrant flavors and creative presentations make Zooba a favorite among both locals and tourists. Whenever I’m in the mood for something casual yet delicious, Zooba never disappoints.
